Mahogany Chris-Craft runabout, 1947. Magnificent hull and deck construction. Rebuilt in 1983 with reinforced keel and hull to accommodate big V-8 . Immensely powerful. Solid mahogany planking hull with matching grains. Boat bottom entirely replaced with carefree epoxy plastic materials. Needs no painting or scraping. The details continue on the bow with a shiny chrome light assembly and Chris-Craft flag. The windshield is a framed, curved plexiglass .The interior is highlighted by the white steering wheel and the classic controls and gauges. All gauges and hardware were re-chromed during the restoration. Upholstery is red vinyl . Bench seating is offered at the stern with room for three (3) and the forward seating is another bench with seating for two (2) to three (3). There is ample space for storage items (anchor, life jackets, oar, fire extinguisher - all included) under the bow and alongside the seating. Access to wiring and controls is under the dash. Automatic bilge pumps. Switch on dash turns on motor vent fan.
Rebuilder had custom trailer constructed of finest materials. Hefty steel frame, large wheels with heavy, permanently lubricated axles. Fully wired.
Engine is Ford Marine Interceptor V-8. Conservatively rated at 212 HP. Very low hours. Boat has been in active storage for ten years. Run every year. Fully winterized.
Custom canvas top is watertight fit, self supporting, and made of heavy, waterproof materials.
Advisory: This boat is extremely powerful. Easily planes at half throttle. Has pulled two skiiers with ease.
