Great Liveaboard Trawler in USVI! Motorsailer! Ford Lehman 135 HP Engine!
This boat is a 1987 Marine Trader Island Trader 40 sailing trawler with a deck saloon that offers plenty of space and comfort for up to 6 people. She is solid glass (no sandwichboard or balsa).
She is powered by an economical Lehman 135 HP engine with 1782 hours of use.
There are two cabins, one with a double berth and one with a bunk bed. A head with a separate shower/bathtub and an electric toilet (requires a holding tank).
The galley has a sink, stove, Domestic refrigerator, and microwave. The Saloon has a settee that converts to a double berth, and a Samsung flat-screen TV.
There are two helms, one in the pilot house and one in the cockpit. A Garmin GPS 527 Chartplotter and a triducer with depth, temperature, and speed.
The solar package includes a Varta AGM 750 amp hour battery house bank, two 375-watt solar panels, a Victron BMV 712 smart battery monitor, and a Victron MPPT 100/50
For auxiliary power, there is a Westerbeke 7.6 generator with 4799 running hours (currently not working), and has new glow plugs installed. Includes a Lofrans Tigress windlass.
She has a 40' mast (not original), newer standing and running rigging. Roller furling.

This Island Trader is a diamond in the rough. She is currently a liveaboard and will need some updating and repairs. No major damage or defects on the hull or the interior. There are no sails included. A thru-hull under the bathroom sink partially closes, all other thru-hulls have been replaced or are in perfect working condition. Everything works well except for the generator. The waste tank has been removed. Plenty of room to add one.The sellers enjoy their home but have to sell her. Priced for a quick sale.
