PRICE REDUCED! The Island Gypsy is a fine example of the very popular 2858 Command Bridge cruiser. She has been kept on the included tri-axle trailer in dry storage at The Des Moines Yacht Club between uses and has been well maintained. Since it is located ~100 yards from a private launch to Puget Sound, once the buyer has made the purchase, a sea trial is easy to accomplish. She has a bright spacious interior and is ideal for crusing the waters of the Puget Sound, which we have done from Olympia to the San Juans, through the Gulf Islands and into Desolation Sound up North. She has lots of seating on the command bridge for spotting wildlife and for great visability while driving, all in the comfort of a two year old complete bridge cover with glass fronts. It has a roomy cabin housing the lower helm with a large dinette, galley and new electric head. The v-berth in the bow has additional memory foam bedding for a comfortable sleep. The dinette turns into a bed for two with an additional foam cushion that is stored in the aft cabin below it, that also sleeps two or can be used for aditional storage. The cabin has drapes on both port and starboard sliding windows as well as a windsheild cover that matches the flybridge enclosure; both two years old. In addition, this boat has been upgraded with both bow and stern side thrusters, so docking is a breeze.

Accommodations
It has a roomy cabin housing the lower helm with a large dinette, and galley The dinette turns into a bed for two with an additional foam cushion that is stored in the aft cabin below it, that also sleeps two or can be used for aditional storage. There is plenty of storage for pots, pans, and glasses so you can cook up a meal to eat on the back deck under the protection of the cockpit overhang, or run up to the flybridge where you can see everything while you eat.
Mechanical Equipment
Engine make is a Mercruiser model 7.4 litre, Bravo ll with total power of 310 hp. The inboard/outboard leg has been completely replaced in 2023, including the 3 blade 19" aluminum prop, outdrive and lower unit. She will cruise on a plane all day at 15 knots @ 3400 rpm. We have installed both a bow thruster and stern thruser (by side-shift) to aid greatly in docking. These can be used by the joystick in the flybridge, or with the hand-held bluetooth remotes so you can be anywhere on the boat. New since 2021: Raw water manifolds, carburetor, distributor, starter, rebuilt heat exchanger, main radiator hose, engine room blower, bilge pump with auto switch, complete new bravo 2 outdrive incl lower unit and prop, bellows, gimbal bearing etc, above mentioned bow and stern thrusters including two 900 cca AGM batteries in the rear for starting and stern thruster, two 900 cca AGM batteries in the bow for bow thruster (hooked up and charged separately) two new Lithium ion house batteries, hooked through DC-DC charger to separate from the starting bank. Six batteries total, including new onboard 20a charger. Boat has less than 400 hours.
Galley Equipment
A single captains seat at the lower helm converts into additional counter space for the galley. An electric/alcohol stove, microwave, 2 year old ac/dc refer, stainless hot and cold sink (6 gal hot water) and two red dot heaters keep the cabin very usable in all types of weather.
Deck and Hull Equipment
A Lanmar 12v anchor windlass hauls the 25# anchor and 50' of 5/8 chain with 150' of rode. The windlass can be activated on the port side of the bow deck or at the lower helm in the cabin. All batteries have been replaced in 2023, with two AGM 900cca starting batteries that also power the stern thruster, two 900cca batteries under the v-berth to power the bow thruster (these are charged with their own separate charger on shore power) and two 100ah lithium bateries for house power...charged by a new Novo 20amp onboard battery charger. A 1000w inverter supplies power from batteries when on the hook. We also use a 2000w Honda inverter (gas) to help on long anchorages.
Navigation Systems
Lower helm has a Standard 25w vhs radio, a 7' dragonfly chartplotter, and with an app on your tablet or laptop, you can receive the radar information from up above. Flybridge has the 9x Garmin chartplotter (with many waypoints already installed) that is hooked to the 18x Garmin 16m radar and all info can be sent through intranet to your devices, as well as a compass.
Additional Equipment
It is very likely I left something out, but with flatware in the galley, co2 life jackets, all lines, fenders, shore power cord, the Honda gennie, adapters, drizair, hatch cover, new 17" Magma propane BBQ etc, you will very likely just need to turn the key and go enjoy the water. We are aging out after 45 years of boating due to physical challenges, so it's time we passed it on to someone else.
