Power Boat Guide had this to say.
With the introduction of the 351 Sedan (called the 35 Convertible in 2001–03), Silverton engineers introduced a dramatically different approach to the design of the modern family cruiser. All manufacturers recognize the appeal of a roomy interior, but Silverton made it happen with the introduction of their “SideWalk” concept, a series of molded steps on the starboard side of the boat leading from the foredeck up to the flybridge and then down again to the cockpit. The result of this clever design is a spacious fullwidth salon with the floor space of a much larger boat. Built on a modified-V hull with prop pockets, the engines are located beneath the cockpit rather than under the salon which allows the cabin floor to sit low in the hull. Lacking side decks, the interior is huge and the apartment-sized galley will be a real crowd-pleaser, but with only a single stateroom these expansive living areas come as no great surprise. A pair of glass sliding doors open to a spacious cockpit with transom door. Topside, the flybridge is arranged with a walkaround center helm with passenger seating forward. A very popular boat, 320hp V-drive gas engines cruise the Silverton 351 at 14–16 knots.
