June 2024 update: This boat is in the water, ready for the 2024 season! Easy to show. Fresh bottom paint, fresly waxed & cleaned, engines tuned, new steering wheel, it is all set for the season.
There are plenty of 30 foot express cruisers on the market today but, what sets the Doral 300SE apart from all the rest is the expansive cockpit. This unique design was created for outdoor entertaining with seating for seven or eight guests and room left over for a wet bar behind the double helm seat. A cockpit fridge completes the package.
This Doral also boasts a stainless steel radar arch, full camper canvas, dockside water hook up, enclosed head with sink/shower and electric flush, windless, a full galley with fridge and microwave (note - this boat has 2 refrigerators), a mid-cabin berth and a swim platform with built ins to hold several large fenders.
There is also a LOT of storage for a 30' boat! Large locker off the swim platform, plenty of storage on the deck, and below deck there are huge closets all over.
The engine room is well laid out and very roomy for a boat this size. There is a smaller hatch within the primary engine hatch to get into the engine room, so it is very easy to just peek in there before, during or after your boating day.
This model does not have AC, heat or a generator. Which is why it is priced the way it is. But Doral did build in the ductwork for heat/AC, so it should not be hard to add. We never saw the need nor did the previous owner.
We tracked our burn rate for 2021, 2022 & 2023 seasons, and we typically burn an average of 10 gallons an hour! Wow, many 30' boats burn twice that or more! The benefit of this is longer cruising times between fill ups, and fill ups that don't cost as much as many other similar size boats yet you look good and feel good hanging with larger boats.
Both engines run well, start right up and run quietly. The outdrives are in really good condition too. The radar works - the screen size is small but it works well. This boat has 4 batteries - one starter battery for each engine, and two house batteries in parellel, so you will have plenty of power while at anchor.
Starboard side risers and manifolds replaced with OEM in July of 2020. Sorry, no info on when the port side risers and manifolds were done. New steering cable in 2022, new steering wheel in 2024.
The engines are Merc, 5.0, 240hp each. As of June 2024, they have 565 hours each. It cruises about 28-30 mph.
The canvas and eisenglass are in good shape, except one small part of the canvas top which needs a new zipper. Some of the cushions are due to be replaced, that is also a reason it is priced the way it is.
I have the title in hand.
