This 25' Eliminator is truly like new - this is not a wrap or paint - this is the Gelcoat from the factory and it is beautiful! The boat is currently just north of Atlanta on Lake Lanier. It was sold by Eliminator to MidWest Performance in Nebraska with 250s on it which makes it a rare boat. Very few were made with outboards - most were made with I/Os. Upon purchasing, the first owner immediately had MidWest take the 2.5s off and put the 300X motors on and had the engine covers painted to match the boat. What’s cool about these motors is that they produce 330hp, but they only weigh 500 lbs each. Mercury Verado 400Rs weigh 700 lbs – so you are saving 400 lbs. which is a lot of weight for a cat. As they are two-strokes, it’s like having 24 cylinders back there. I have never felt acceleration from 50 to 100 like this one has, and I have owned (and ridden on a LOT) of performance boats. And the sound is insane – because they are firing twice as many times as an I/O or 4 stroke engines at the same RPM – they sound like two formula-one engines winding up. Not loud around the dock, but when you open them up at speed, they are just awesome sounding. Everyone on the lake knew when I was coming – they said nothing sounds like my boat. Each engine has a 2.5-gallon tank for oil in the rear compartment, if you run that dry each engine has a reservoir under the cowl. However, there is a low-oil alarm that will go off if you start to drain that tank. The boat spent its whole life in South Carolina, impeccably maintained in a climate-controlled warehouse and used exclusively on a freshwater lake until I purchased it in Dec of 2022. It has never spent the night in the water. The first owner had another family deck boat that he used most of the time, which is why the hours are so low. It was serviced at R&K Marine in Knightdale, NC (919-266-2720) for all but last year. The mechanic there will tell you he has serviced the boat since new and the owner was meticulous – anything it needed was done with an open checkbook. It has been a freshwater boat for 99% of its life and it shows when you look at it. The only exception is when I took it to the Florida Powerboat Club poker run in Destin FL last year. Which was a big mistake… Because we had such a good time, I decided I needed a bigger boat so I could do offshore poker runs. So, I bought a 35 Motion with triple 350s on it. Which is a lot of fun, but a lot more boat to deal with… So that’s why I am selling. Everything works on the boat perfectly except for the GPS speedometer which suddenly stopped working at the end of last summer. I have to research it, but I have been working on the Motion since I got it to get it ready for the Miami to the Keys poker run we just did. I just have not had time to address that but will hopefully have it fixed by the time of the sale. The reset works on it, so it is getting power – hopefully the antenna just became disconnected. Other than that, she is perfect. I'm asking $84,999 because I don't know where you can buy a 100+ MPH Cat that looks new for less than $100K. But you guys will tell me if I am too high I'm sure!! Thanks for reading this book if you got this far! Tom - 478-918-5928. Boat is just north of Atlanta on Lake Lanier.
Update as of 3/29 (this is a good thing for a potential buyer). When I went out of town a month ago I left the boat with Merlin Marine to read the engine hours and give it a once-over. They told me there were some stress cracks in the transom they thought should be addressed. I told them to do whatever needed to be done because I didn't want to leave a buyer with any issues. Well I just want back and the ended up putting a new transom in the boat. They replaced the wood with Coosa board so there will never be any issues in the future. So, I have just invested $13K I wasn't expecting to spend. I took some pictures, because the brackets are not remounted yet, and it may be a few weeks before they can do this. All this can be verified by calling Merlin Marine in Buford GA (770-932-6694) and speaking with the owner Tony or his wife Denise. I added some pictures of what the new transom looks like inside.
