Four Winns jumped onto the leading edge of what could become the next trend in sport boats: hard angles inside and out, and a bow so wide for passengers that it's easily mistaken for a deck boat.
Its split-chine design leaves a wide outer chine for lateral stability at all times, but in our tests those chines never touched the water when the boat was on plane. The result is a ride free of excess friction. The interior of the 242 has a fully wrapped aft cockpit lounge, with a walkthrough between two extra-wide seats forward. It’s a different approach to interior design, which can actually be said about the boat from top to bottom.
